We specialize in resin transfer molding (RTM), compression molding (with continuous reinforcements and bulk/sheet molding compounds), hand lay-up/autoclave cure, bladder molding and mechanical hardware and electrical systems assembly and integration.
Composite Products is a certified volume producer of advanced composite components and sub-assemblies for the aerospace industry. Our expertise uses proprietary materials and processes that allow us to produce the most cost-effective products for our customers. These specialties are enhanced by our comprehensive total-system capabilities in performance specification, testing, and full-scale production.
We focus on four primary market segments: munitions, missile components, aircraft engine components, and aircraft structures. We have demonstrated high volume production cells using LEAN production techniques capable of upwards of 10,000 components per year. Composite Products’ facility in San Diego is AS9100B:2004/ISO 9001:2000-certified. A new high volume production facility will open in 2010 in Suffolk, Virginia. This facility will become Cobham’s primary center of excellence for high volume production of advanced Composite Products for the aerospace and defense industries.
